Terms of Service, billing terms, and refund policy for pinakea.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of pinakea and paid plan purchases through pinakea.com. By using pinakea or purchasing a paid plan, you agree to these Terms.

pinakea is operated by Reckoner GmbH, Ahornweg 23, 2542 Pieterlen, Switzerland (CHE-336.371.286).

License Scope

pinakea is licensed, not sold.

  • Free: includes a one-time 30-day trial with up to 50 combined chats or deep summaries. Unused trial usage expires when the trial ends and is not automatically renewed.
  • Pro Monthly: recurring monthly paid plan with unlimited chat and deep summaries while the subscription is active.
  • Pro Lifetime: one-time paid plan with unlimited chat and deep summaries for the purchased major version.

Pro Lifetime major-version policy:

  • Future major versions may require a paid upgrade.
  • If you purchased Pro Lifetime within 12 months before a major version release, that major upgrade is included at no additional charge. Otherwise, upgrade pricing may apply.

Billing and Merchant of Record

All subscriptions and purchases are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, invoicing, tax handling, refunds, and payment-related support.

Subscription billing and cancellations are handled through Paddle. If you cancel a subscription, access remains active until the current billing period ends unless otherwise required by law or Paddle policy.

Refund Policy

Refunds and any withdrawal rights are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms and Paddle’s Refund Policy.

BYOK and Third-Party AI Costs

Cloud AI usage in pinakea uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) model with OpenRouter. OpenRouter usage costs are billed by OpenRouter under your OpenRouter account and are separate from pinakea plan pricing.

Disclaimer of Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law, pinakea is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Swiss law:

  • pinakea is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profit, data, goodwill, or business interruption.
  • For Pro Lifetime, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the relevant one-time purchase.
  • For Pro Monthly, total liability is limited to one month of subscription fees.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by Swiss law, excluding conflict-of-law rules, subject to mandatory legal protections that may apply.

The courts at the registered domicile of Reckoner GmbH are the place of jurisdiction, subject to mandatory legal venue rules.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The current version is published at /terms with its effective date.
